Sindre and Sondre, who I followed for a week of training in Eldoret, Kenya, each won a gold medal in the European Athletics U23 (junior) Championships in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
Sindre won the 5000 meter race, and Sondre won the 10,000 meter race. Sindre still has one more race to qualify for the World Championships in Korea.
Their hard work and commitment is paying off!
Check out the story about them in my portfolio.

Independence day in Norway, May 17th, is widely celebrated with marches, flags and brassbands playing in the streets. Many dress up in the national costume bunad (seen in the second picture) and traditionally meet in schoolyards around the country. The kids typically gets to eat as much ice cream as they like, and compete in party games such as sack race and egg race.
Here, they also try and kick a hat off a broomstick. Originally this is the grand finale of the traditional Norwegian dance hallingdansen, and it is called Hallingkast.
